Best Seasons for Booking your Trip

Spring Chinooks arrive along Niagara’s Shoreline beginning the last week of April and continue to the end of May. The fight from a spring time Chinook salmon is like no other time of the year.

June often sees a period of slower Chinook Salmon fishing as the Lake begins to transition to Summer temperatures.

July is likely the best chance for the biggest Chinook salmon to be caught. Fishing is often the best of the year for a mix of species of fish while catching silver Chinook Salmon. It is also the peak booking season and plan to book your trip well in advance.

August and early September is when the mature salmon arrive near shore and close in on the outflow of spawning streams. Fishing for them can be unpredictable, but when a fish does take the bait, you will have your work cut out for you to land an above average sized fish. Trophy hunting is the name of the game during this time of the year for what we call “Staging Salmon”.

September and October still remains excellent for immature Chinook salmon with great numbers of fish coming to the boat.
